The Sales Boosters Pro Suite is a high-converting conversion rate optimization (CRO) engine built directly into FlexExt Store. It equips merchants with 5 proven revenue accelerators designed to increase Average Order Value (AOV) and recover abandoning checkout visitors.

1. Order Bumps​

An Order Bump is a seamless, one-click impulse addon offered right at the moment of highest buying intent: inside the slide-in drawer cart or on the checkout screen.

How It Works​

  • Displays as a styled callout card with a high-contrast checkbox, thumbnail, product title, and promotional price.
  • Single-Click Insertion: Ticking the checkbox instantly adds the item to the order total via asynchronous fetch without refreshing the page.
  • Dynamic In-Cart Check: If the customer unchecks the box, the bump item is removed from the cart seamlessly.

Common Use Cases​

  • Priority VIP processing and queue jump (e.g. "Rush My Dispatch: +$4.99").
  • Extended 2-year replacement warranty (e.g. "24-Month Extended Care: +$14.00").
  • Essential accessories (e.g. "Add Extra Premium Braided Cable: +$8.50").

Configuration​

  1. Open Components → FlexExt Store → Plugins Hub → Sales Boosters.
  2. Toggle Order Bumps Enabled to Yes.
  3. Select your default bump product from the catalog dropdown.
  4. Customize the callout headline, incentive badge text, and optional discounted bump price.

2. Frequently Bought Together (FBT) Bundles​

Modelled after Amazon's highest-converting recommendation pattern, the Frequently Bought Together module automatically showcases complementary items directly on the product detail page.

Features​

  • Visual Bundle Gallery: Displays the main product alongside 1 to 3 complementary accessory items linked with + symbols.
  • Interactive Checkboxes: Customers can untick any bundle component they already own; total price updates in real-time.
  • Bundle Discount Incentive: Highlights cumulative savings with a strikethrough total and dynamic savings badge (e.g., "Save $22.00 when purchased as a bundle").
  • 1-Click "Add All to Cart": Pushes the entire selected package into the active cart simultaneously.

3. Exit-Intent Recovery Modal​

Up to 70% of e-commerce store visitors navigate away without completing their purchase. The Exit-Intent Recovery engine detects departure signals and presents an irresistible incentive before they close the tab.

Detection Mechanics​

  • Desktop Cursor Trajectory: Tracks mouse velocity and angle as the cursor moves upward toward the browser tab bar or window close button.
  • Mobile Back-Button / Timer Fallback: On mobile viewports, triggers after a configurable dwell threshold or when the customer navigates back.
  • Urgency Countdown Timer: A 15-minute countdown timer creating immediate scarcity.
  • Dynamic Coupon Injection: Automatically generates or displays an exclusive coupon code (e.g., SAVE10NOW).
  • 1-Click Apply Button: Clicking "Apply Coupon & Continue" stores the discount in the session and guides the customer straight into checkout.
  • Smart Frequency Capping: Remembers visitor interactions via localStorage to avoid repeatedly firing on subsequent visits (configurable 24h, 7d, or 30d cooldown).

4. Free Shipping Goal Progress Bar​

Encourage visitors to add one more item to their basket to unlock free delivery.

Features​

  • Live Spend Calculation: Continuously compares current cart subtotal against your store's free shipping threshold (Threshold - Subtotal).
  • Dynamic Feedback States:
    • Below Threshold: "Spend $16.50 more to unlock FREE Express Delivery!"
    • Threshold Achieved: "🎉 Congratulations! You have unlocked FREE Express Delivery!"
  • Omnipresent Placement: Displays in the slide-in drawer cart, main checkout page, and optionally as a sticky top notification bar.

5. EU Omnibus Directive 30-Day Price Tracker​

Complies with European Union Directive (EU) 2019/2161 (the "Omnibus Directive") regarding price reduction transparency.

Compliance Automation​

  • Historical Price Engine: The system automatically logs product prices upon save in #__flexext_store_price_history.
  • Automatic SERP Display: Whenever a promotional sale price (special_price) is active, FlexExt Store renders the mandatory statutory disclosure underneath:

    "Lowest price in the 30 days prior to discount: $49.00 (-20%)"

  • Protects merchants from regulatory fines across all 27 EU member states with zero manual spreadsheet tracking.
